Day 131-187: WELLLLLLLLLLLLLL
I haven't written in over a month or two or more.. And that is because I have been told (Not by my parents) that I should not write anything negative, and well that has been difficult. We've been through so many things that I cannot explain, so many things that it would be hard for many people to understand what happens. I have been SO busy, seeing as well .. I am now heading home. Here is a recap of the past time , and what I have done, and what has happened.. My final thoughts, etc ,etc.
This may or may not be in order..
The soccer game went well, although not many people showed up because of schooling and such.
The next week we had to take a break, things were getting to weird and hard.. so we went to the game lodge and saw so many animals, and elephants. The elephants would come so close to the water hole, and all the animals. The elephants would go by this under ground tunnel where you could stand, and rub on it to scratch themselves , and get dust ALL over you! We had seen a random monkey eating a chocolate bar, and I got very sick. I had amebas, and a stomach infection haha, not fun! So during our time at the lodge (a couple days) I was sick and throwing up the REAL food they gave us :( BUMMER. We went back to the orphanage, and were so happy to see the kids.
The next week we had to go to Nairobi, and help get a visa for Ben, which got denied. We had to get some wedding things there for my sister, and I had to do some schoolwork.
The next week I had a lot of garden work, fencing, and pruning and planting we had to do.. and while we spent our time doing it, we had a line-up of boys watching.. they had never seen white ladies work! (Awkwardly standing over us) hahah! But so sad.
The next week we went to Uganda. What a beautiful place, the people, the care in it. There's still corruption, but hey.. it's everywhere. We visited where the rains had flooded and where the hills had came down and buried people and their houses , where the bodies were buried. We went to a school there, visited with our friend Martin and his work. We went to where he was growing coffee and he showed us the process, and we visited a new village of people. I had a man at the place we were at ( A worker in fact) ask me to stay the night in my room.. UHM NO?! I don't do that, that is creepy I don't know you buddy, you work here..?! We had our bus catch fire... yeah, lots of exciting things!
We went to Mombasa to bring an orphan older guy (Who had been there nearly all his life) to driving school, and found him a family to stay with. SO sweet! We had stayed a night in a hotel because it was simply WAY too hot in a house full of people, but they were adorable and we enjoyed staying with them :) . Finally, we have a family for Bonifus! We stayed by the beach, went swimming a bit, then the next day went back! We went back to see the kids, but mom wasn't feeling well so we stayed home for the weekend. The next week we had to go back to Nairobi, and do some work there, then back to the orphanage. We spoke the next Sunday at a church, and I taught the kids, gave them my keyboard since I could not bring it home.. and back down the hill!
We had gotten some security guards, because we had more things stolen.. and that helped!
We traveled to the hills, to see our friends there and visit them for the last time.
We visited a bee farm (Apiary) and learnt things there, and we did some counselling with some people.
We brought one of our friends we have met here to a hospital to make a schedule for surgery, the money was donated, and he has been SO good and honest to us!
We had traveled back and forth to speak at some churches, visited with some of the villagers for the last time, and had visited some of the schools.
That is not all, but what I remember for now haha!
