African Adventures,Day 103

Day 103:
Today was a nice, beautiful day off. We decided that we would try and get away from stress and escape for  a day! We packed out bathing suits, waited outside with little ali and Dickson and got on a tuktuk (Half motorcycle half... uh wagon?) We got in, and headed down the "road" ... bumpity bump bump.. look at us go ;) ! After slowly driving down the roads we eventually, after entering the game area arrived at the game lodge. We were going to go for a day where we can relax in the sun, in the quiet , go for a swim and have a nice lunch together.  We got out of the tuktuk to have some people greet us and laugh because you NEVER see white people in a tuktuk ;) Usually they are in their own little fancy Wzungu (Whitie) cars, or travel vans. (Of course, it's typical)

We got a resident price luckily, and went and ate. After eating we headed for the pool area, changed and slid inside the cool, (somewhat dirty, buggy) pool. Mom and I were just hoping to get clean for once ! :) This sand and dirt seems to be like.. permanent and my feet are always dirty and orange.. and even AFTER a swim they are still dirty. We layed in the sun (with sunscreen) ,read, slept, and just took a nice breather for well.. practically all day until the quiet was interrupted. After a nice long day letting everything out of our systems, we had to go back :). We got ready, waited for bonnie (Bonifus) who drove us there, and then once we found out he was early (WHAT?! Not on African time I guess) we got into the tuktuk, sat down and settled in, and headed out. On the way back we chatted with Bonifus and Stephen (who was also there) and soon we arrived home. We were greeted by the orphan kids.. <3 and we had to go back to the house because mom wasn't feeling well and we had to clean up. The rest of the night was spent just around the house/orphanage.
