African Adventures, Day 59

Day 59:
Today we got up early and as a sort of day off.. we headed into Voi. We had waited for a Matatu not long at all.. but got on an already full one. I squeezed in, sat on my mom's lap with my head tilted near the ceiling.. sharing a seat with 5 other people ! What an adventure :)! We got out in Voi and headed for where they sell mattresses. (The kids do not currently have enough mattresses , and the ones that they have are dirty and urine stained. ( The poor children!) So we went there  and very soon  now because of some generous people back in Canada, they will all have brand new pee proof mattresses.  After that we wandered around the open market to see what kind of stuff they had. We got some groceries and things and soon ate at an African restaurant.. SO MUCH FOOD ..?! We met up with my friend Lawrence after and we hung out with him for a bit and he helped us out :) . We then decided we would go back  so we hired a car (for my mom's injured neck) and drove back to the orphanage. We spent the rest of today just unpacking, and then I headed over to the studio again. I was there until just now, practicing and making tracks with Ben.We talked for a few hours and things and we are hoping we can sell his CD to 40 people for 10$ so that he will have enough money for  a nice video, which will help him out.He is SO good! We will be doing 2 music videos with him next week with money that his dad gave him. And hopefully we can raise enough money to do a music video with the orphan kids to the song that we are currently making.. (We are hoping someday money will appear or something ;) )  and i'm guessing more studio work to come for tomorrow!
