African Adventures, Day 3

           African Adventures, Day 3 :
I am still trying to get used to the time difference here. Whenever I am online and want to talk to someone from back home they are always at school, or sleeping. I forget that they are not at my time frame , so that really sucks. When it is bedtime here I am not really tired, but during the day I seem to be. After awhile I will be used to it I know, but it's a little difficult now. I had to wake up a little earlier this morning to go see some orphan elephants. We got all ready, ate our  breakfast (WITH FRESH FRUIT) and headed out. It's gloomier today though and we could tell it was going to rain again. We traveled through the crazy traffic and made our way out towards where the elephants are held.  The mud there was thick and the elephants loved it. They came out of the wild and went to drink milk. All of the ones I saw were saved from being killed or dying. They were so cute and friendly ! I never thought an elephant would love dirt so much. I went to pet one and since the dirt is orange/ brown my hand turned colour! Their backs are so dirty because they roll in it and the trainer's put dirt on them because the elephants enjoy it. They are fuzzy, yet wrinkly and hard.. weird combination! Today I have yet experienced one thing you don't get to say to often.. " I got backed into by an elephant!" She seemed to think it was funny to back into the people and decided she would pick me!  She was a little heavy, but I was just amused by it all. I wasn't looking, I was drenched from all of the pouring rain.. then out of nowhere an elephant backs into me and hits me with her big booty.. What a day! After being cold and wet from the rain (which flooded a couple roads) I was ready to head home. My cousin Jennifer was not feeling well anyways and we also had to pick her son up from school because he wasn't feeling so dandy either. I am hoping I don't catch it as well! Tomorrow we are off to a walk in safari, where we get to walk around and see the animals and we will be hiking as well! I guess  I will see what adventures lay in my future!
